At Little Duckling Early Learning Schools, our mission is to provide children and families with high-quality care and education experiences that promote growth, curiosity, and a love for learning. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. New Direction SAVES was birthed in 2014 out of the heart of Pastor Kenneth Sullivan, Jr., Senior Pastor of New Direction Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Initially established as a response to the question of how to keep young Black men safe in our communities, SAVES has prioritized connecting all youth and young adults to educational, vocational, financial, legal, health, and other opportunities to provide a path to deliverance from the societal ills that threaten their very existence.  Whether through workshops on financial literacy or entrepreneurship, scholarships for vocational programs, youth employability skills training, or partnership with New Direction Church for their annual Community Day, the board of SAVES strategizes each year to implement initiatives intent on building safer communities on Indianapolis' east side, one person at a time.

Since the church is the heart of the community our focus is upon empowering churches to do charitable work in impoverished communities. Our primary goal is to support churches and other Christian based Institutions that do Christian, charitable work in the communities where they exist. Churches or institutions that operate Christian schools, Bible schools, feed the hungry, provide shelter for the impoverished, provide job and skills training, provide business and entrepreneurial skills training, and other human services that empower and uplift impoverished people.

For over 35 years, New Direction Church has been a leader and advocate for those who are underserved, in need, and/or struggling with various social changes. Under the leadership of Dr. Kenneth Sullivan Jr, New Direction Church is continuously striving to grow and improve itself and the people we are called to serve. As a result, in May 2022, The Nehemiah Project Community Development Corporation was established to enhance and improve the overall life for individuals and families residing in and around 46218.
